From a mailing list I'm on FLAT OUT.......on a Public Highway! WHAT IF....it was a beautiful cool and crisp Sunday morning, and.... WHAT IF....you owned a fast late model high performance vehicle, and.... WHAT IF.... you had a deserted Nevada highway before you.... Too bad I am so far away, I would be there in a heartbeat! Wasn't there a bad ass rx7 (Veilside sp?) that wrecked pretty bad there a year or two ago?

The Silver State Classic is nothing new.
Basically, there are approximately 10 classes IIRC. in increments of 10mph from I belive 90 to ~160 and then unlimited. Its a 90mile stretch of highway, and the goal is to get as close to your target speed as possible. So, if your in the 110mph class, your goal is to average 110mph through the whole course. The unlimited guys just need to get there the quickest....
