There's a recall on it ... you should be able to take it to a dealer and just say 'fix it'. I did

its not a heater switch,, its a blower motor switch.... it works for the a/c and heater... when you say the heater switch they probably think you are talking about the swith that turns the heater on(the one that initiates the heater.. not the one that make the air move........ try them with a blower motor switch and see what they say.. i got one from the dealer and it cost me $24.00 took me about 10 minutes to put it in... got the books and the CD's to guide me along... without this info you will have problems and might even break the plastic on the dash... hope this helps.

Mine went on my 96, worked fine in 3rd, wouldnt turn to 1 and 2, and didnt work in 4. Ford fixed it for free, they said it was a $180 job.
It was fixed right but the clips at the top like where it says "1" and "Off" and the center of the red and blue colors for the temp, the one clips wasnt attached so it doesnt sit flush with the panel itself.

I have been coming to this site for all most 5 yrs, and, thru reading posts, searching, and posting a question, I have always got the correct answer here.
Now, the Blower Motor Switch (Fan for cooling and heating) has completely quit, no blower action at all.
I am sure someone out there has the right answer, and hope they send it to me here,, Thank Y'all again.
OH Yeah.. I accept all wise cracks with a 70 yr old grin

Yeah I called about the recall on my 96 and found out I had too many miles. What causes this switch to go out anyway because I have replacedmine twice. In other words what is going to keep the new one from doing it again, there must be a fix.
ATX MTX swap, rear drum disc swap, drilled rotors, ported intake, optim throttle body, CAI, 7.5L MAF, adj. fuel regulator, longtube headers, underdrive pulley, no EGR, low inpedence bigger injectors, 2002 Focus Swap
