Looked in the archives but this removal of the door panel is really becoming a PITA. After the "door handle" debackle, It seems the only place the panel is sticking is at the inside mirror cover. I think i read that there is a screw in there but where? I see a little plastic circle that looks like a plug covering a screw but man this thing won't budge. I'm doin the duct tape/screwdirver technique and im still scratching it up. I dont know if the previous owner glued it in or what b/c if this is a plug something crazy is holding it in. Does anyone know what the trick is? I dont want to scuff this thing up 2 badly. Thanks in advance.

I have removed mine several times damn lights behind there and that power window switch. Okay two bolts on left side, two on bottom, two on right side. In the bottom right corner there is a plastic cover for a screw, the door handle like where you pull to close it, that pops off two screws behind that, where you open the door, that littel plastic cover in there screw behind that as well. The triangle piece yeah screw cover up there to.

After that remove that piece surrounding the open door handle, the power window switch/lock, after that comes off disconnect them one by one from there harness. Then pull up on the door and toward you and it should pop off.

I had the same problem. I had to get a knife with a sharp point on it and get it in there to pry that cover off. I scratched it up a bit, but was able to smooth it out again with my fingernail. It IS a PITA!!!! Just keep at it, and don't poke your eye out or something!!

this may sound stupid but i just put a screwdriver through it and then threw it out, only so i wouldnt scratch the triangle piece of plastic. just make sure there are some contours in a junkyard close to you so you can pull one off one of those.

I destroyed one of mine when I replaced the speakers 4 years ago. Never did get a replacement for it. Now I have easy access to those darned screws.

One of mine came out fairly easy with the duct tape trick. I became so frustrated with the other one that I just punched a hole through it with a screwdriver and then popped it out.

That was a couple of years ago and I think I paid around $5 for ONE new replacement plug. I justified the cost as being much less than paying to have the dealer replace my power window regulator.

Lancastertour, that actually isnt a bad idea putting a tweeter in there...I think a good set of tweeters is already in need for our tours and that would be a really good place to put a set in each side....great idea and thanx for the post.
