i want some cams soon for my mk1 1994 2.0 zetec mondeo (silvertop)

over here in the UK they cost LOADS for piper or kent, so was looking at this Comp cams XR series

http://shop.store.yahoo.com/hm-performance/cocaxrsesstc1.html

which are much cheaper. a guy over one MEG has fit them to his mk1 silvertop mondeo and they work fine but has anyone here had bad experience with them or could suggest a better type?

i am looking for somewhere in US to ship to the UK, there was a ebay store selling them but they dont do them any more

have you asked them if they still do them? Surely if you email them. I can get you the address if you want

They have been making cams for years. I'm sure they would be pretty good.

Comp cams are pretty good.
Plus they are pretty much drop in, so no extra parts are required.

the cams are quite good, i recently had a buddy of mind install some stage 1's on a kids car. quite a nice idle and curve...no serious lope like mine, even when the cam gears were adjust see sat almost like stock. solid duration and lift...i say go for it

i would like a header but am i right in saying it wont make any difference if i dont get the exhaust de-catted?

am in 2 minds whether or not i want a de-cat because here in the UK they are clamping down on the laws for catalysts so i would have to get one swapped on & off the car once a year for the MOT.

you will get gains even though you have a stock cat...but you should upgrade to a high flow cat if you don't wish to delete it...although I am not sure how compliant they are with smog laws.

A good quality high flow cat will be smog compliant, depending on how restrictie smog laws are in your area.
