Anything more than about 10 to 30 sceonds is just a waste of fuel.
I agree. I let mine idle for 30 seconds at most, regardless of outside temp. I dont run my car hard until the temp gauge shows about halfway. By that time the oil is definately warm enough to handle the RPM.

Not likely since most remote starters will shutoff the car after about 10 minutes of idling. Regardless, the problem is not the remote starter but failure to check the oil level on a regular basis.
Warm it up for about a minute....then drive it slower than normal for 3-4 miles (lets the oil in the S/C get to operating temp)
