i just wanted to thank all you folks on this site. for the past 4 years you have been an invaluable sorce of information pertaining to the contour svt. however it is time for me to move on. i gave in to the rigors of my life now (playing drums in a blues band on the weekends)and needed a more practical vehicle so i purchased an extremely nice used 2003 focus ztw wagon last saturday. 5 speed to boot so all is not lost. it is not even close to being in the class of the contour, but will do what i need it to do. i am sure going to miss that throaty start up every morning and all the curvy roads here in western pennsylvania, oh well the focus does handle pretty well though. i will still visit from time to time. if anyone is interested the 1998 black, 79,000+ svt is now in the hands of luther ford in indiana, pa 15701. good people!
