not an MOS,(well not for him)he works for Q Aeronautical Systems (i believe is the name) out of High Desert area, Ca. He is the mechanic on it. I asked him why the Airforce doesn't just have their mechanics work on it and he said, "they do, and I'm there to fix their mistakes, which is all the time." He is making big bucks being over there. He has been there at least 10 times already, was in Kuwait before we went into Iraq. Last time he went he was just outside of Fallouja, which is where I presume he is right now. (he cant say). He was showing us videos taken from the Predator's cameras showing insurgents firing rockets at his camp, even one that hit a tent real close to him and killed a few guys. He was saying the insurgents use a "frozen" rockets that thaw at later and fire at targets thereby defeating the Geneva Convention which doesnt allow our guys to fire on someone who "hasnt fired on them." If they catch them with the Predator's camera then that is evidence and they can "take em out".
something amazing he showed us was that they had targeted some insurgents with the Predator's cam, from about 50 miles away, and "mark" them which is then communicated to F16s and Apaches who's computers pick up on the "mark" and fire on the targets (people, vehicles, buildings, sheep, etc..). It's so cool, you see these whitened videos of guys running around, hiding their weapons and trying to play it cool, then you hear a pilot(?) say "there, did you see that? he just hit a machine gun under the truck, fire at will" and then BLAM 50 cal(?) rounds lighting up the ground causing the truck to explode etc... (just like in a movie

)
he sent us pics of the actual guy who pilots the predator. it looks like a video game joystick, the old school jet fighter type, and you see real video footage and electronic on the screen.
he didnt have much prospects going for him and joined the Corps. they taught him how to fix airplane engines. he did some time in Bosnia and finished his 5 years in the service. he got this GREAT job right out of the service.

When he is home he works a lot in/near(?) Las Vegas (area 51?). the company rents him a 2 bedroom apartment in Vegas AND some kickass cars to commute in, and gives him about $1000 a month for incidentals. He drove an FX45 for most of last yeat thanks to his company.
anyway, enough tread-jacking, sorry

This pic was taken today/tomorrow?
