Alrighty-Then,

There are 3 bolts that hold a Black Box that goes over the TB. I can't recall what this box is called, might be the resonator? Anyway, on one side to the far left it has a broken plastic part that holds the bolt in place. The other 2 bolts seem to be holding it down just fine, but it bothers me just thinking about it. Rather than replacing whatever part of the the TB that holds it down I'd rather build something that goes from the TB to the MAF and Air Cleaner Filter Box. Is there a cheap kit for something like this and what parts will I need and where do I get them?

I'm thinking I might need a spacer, but I've got no clue.

Maybe I could keep the Black Flex Pipe that goes from the MAF to the TB? Then add something that would cover the TB and bend over and connect to the FLEX Pipe. What do you all think?

Sleeperz has chimed in about pre-made 3 inch tubes with various bends on eBay and other online stores, try that.

I tried looking on e-bay already. That is why I'm here asking for some help. I can't find anything cheap for a Mercury Mystique. All though if I search with Zetec I get tones of Focus stuff, but I don't know if any of that stuff would work for me.

I was looking at one of those once before, but could not tell from just looking at them if they would work. What is the whole on the side of the blue bending part? And what is that smaller hose used for?

Here is another..

So all I need is 1 3inch couppler and 6inch exhasut pipe? So I'd buy the kit to use the blue elbow thingy and use some extra pipe because of the hole and hose deal that I don't have on my car?

i got the one that looked kinda like the cta intake for our cars.. u just need the adapter and the piping for after the maf.. the other adapeter is used to connect the intake to the maf... it might look ghetto but it works great

Remember, the TB is not 3", so making a 3" coupler fit is not the ideal way to go about it.
Order the seperate parts and do it right.
You get better performance.

Quote:

From Aj-USA;
X-3004 - 90 degree on TB
X-3003 - 45 degree on MAF

From ATP;
ATP-STL-007 - 2.75" stainless steel piping
or
ATP-ALM-001 - 2.75" aluminum piping

You should use stainless steel to help keep intake temps down. If you go with aluminum, you can either paint it with high temp engine paint (that has ceramic in it) or wrap with exhaust wrap, to help keep intake temps down.

Ahhh...thanks for all of that information on where and what to buy.

I'm going to add up the cost right now and see if this is something I can do without the CC.
