So this just happened to me as well last night. My questions are this. Can the bendix be changed as a sepearte part or does the whole starter get changed? Cost of either part? I just had my clutch and flywheel changed so I'm quite certain it's not bad teeth on the flywheel. Do you think the clutch/flywheel change may have caused this or is it just coincidence? Thanks for the help!!!

Bendix is a non-serviceable part, at least for what it's worth...

Starter is not TERRIBLY expensive, and can be done by yourself.

Someone will correct me if I am wrong on the bendix, but I seem to recall asking that same question when I was on the other side of this very problem.
