i hit a curb at 45 mph, with my foot to the floor my other wheel spinning with one stagnet chrushed from the curb. lots of suspision work . now i dont feel any power at the wheels at 35 grand i used to feel a strong pull but now nothing the engine seems to be running rougher to? any help will be appreacited fred~

Is it a v6 duratec engine? If no power above 4000 rpms, the IMRC could be stuck.

Hey, I'm from Fayetteville. Where did this happen? Do a simple search on IMRC and you will find plenty of explanations. I'm in town a few times a month, ever seen a black SVT around? Where are you located and what color car do you have?

Verify that both secondary shafts turn 90 degrees when revved up over 3500 rpm.

Revving in neutral may not work, My Mystique IMRC did not work like that, I had to put a narrow piece of masking tape on the linkage, drive and the tape tore loose, when it opened up.

UPDATE manually pushed the spring ,butterfly opener? and car revs but their is a large amout of slack in the cabe leading to the imrc, yet still no and no power??? help please, is it the imrc with no code thrown? or something else? thanks fred~

if it matters, i fixed my car, thanks for all the help, instead of thinking of somthing complicated my mechinac told me to go over the basics, come to find out my imrc was just disconnected, i would have never known to look thier with out your help so thanks ..again
