I have 2 JL Audio 10w0's in a banpass custom enclosure in thetrunk - plexi all rear - cover pannel- and ported thru rear deck only-
I have a PPI 6600 puching them and the mids- but want more bass-
What JLAudio subs- (10) inch-- could I replace them with- being the same airspace- and for banpass- butt more magnet- and using more power-
??????????????????????????????????????????

It's tough enough building a custom bandpass enclosure that is designed for specific subs let alone finding subs that will sound good in a pre-made bandpass enclosure.

If your enclosure was built around those JL's you're running right now, a change to different subs (unless by some freaky coincidence they spec the same) will probably result in poorer sound.

What is the ohm stability on the amp your running your speakers off of. If its a one ohm stabe amp, I suggest a pair of JL audio 12 w3 dual voice coil 2 ohm speakers so when they are run parellel, its at 1 ohm, dropping the load and having more power to your speakers.

I agree with Dave, the price per woofer for the W7 series is ridiculous.

MSRP for the 10W7 is $800.00. However, I found it online for $540.00 with free shipping.
