Contour Enthusiasts Group Archives Forums Modifications Audio Double DIN unit?

Is it possible to install a 2-DIN unit in my 95 Mystique? I assume that some modification would be necessary, but maybe it just can't be done.

I guess that 2 1-DIN spaces don't equal 2-DIN.

Anyone have any ideas?

The optional CD player that goes in the space below the Tuner is D1 in size. So I would assume if you cut out the center bar a double din would fit just fine. I'd make sure the cage would hold the headunit properly before I put it in though.
