I finally got my speaks, amp, and bazooka tube installed yesterday. But I'm a bit dissapointed with the bazooka, it doesn't produce the tight punchy bass that I want. I'm thinking two 8's or two 10's in a sealed box will do it ... and when I replace the bazooka tube I will have 100w to run two subs. What should I get? BTW, the amp is a 6 channel a/d/s ph15.2

A single Blueprint 1001 or possibly a single dayton titanic 1000 mkII would be great choices. A single 12" adire shiva or Dayton DVC is always a great standby as is a Lambda PB series. The Lambda is more expensive, but you can check with RedSVT, Honkeytonk Monkey, or WhiteSE to verify the umcompromising quality.

I state that the Lambda has uncompromising quality. I actually listened to a not too heavy CD instrumentally, as not to be saturated,,and the system is rocking: The cd is In The Long Run by Eagles...good bass playing by dude Randy Meisner. To test midbass,,,the newly remaster Dire Straits compilation is incredible..anyway,,,I vouch for the 10", the other dudes have a 12 and 15"

Cool, I didn't know the ph15 could be bridged from 4 channels (i am a car audio n00b), so I guess I'll go with one 10" @ 200w in a sealed box. This would sound better than two 8's or two 10's at 100w each, right?

from my own experience, which is very limited, i rather spend more on one excellent sub than more money on two not so good. I had 2 JLAudio 10's, and they were leagues below the Lambda Acoustics. I also heard some Audiobahn's at my installers store, and they dont compare either. Even my box is crappy compared to my original JLAudio box, so the quality of the sub is that good, that it can outshine them with a so so box.

If you get a Lambda Accoustics sub, consider the 15" unless you need the trunkspace. I have a 15 in a 3 cubic foot box and it sounds great. I went to this from two twelves. The single 15 can go louder if you want, and it also plays with much less distortion. The larger 15" cone area will allow for more air movement than a smaller cone with the same power levels. Add the ability to dip a little further in the frequencies and you're set.
If you need the trunkspace though, the 10" like whiteSE's will do I guess... but it's so little and dinky! :p
