I can access all of the the bolts from under the car except one. which is obstruceted by the subfame, which sucks. however I unbolted the splash guard and pulley shroud and i can see the bolt. I heard that the engine needs to be raised a few inches to do this, however, Warmonger said I would just have to unbolt the y-pipe-check , and unbolt the pan-half/check. So what are some of your opinions?

Thanks

Is this a Zetec, or Duratech. On Zetecs you must remove part of the exhuast to get the oil pan off.

It is a Duratec and yes I removed the Y-pipe and y-pipe support brackets.

Un bolting the Y-pipe and droping it, will give you full access to all the bolts to take off the oil pan. Warmonger is correct in his statement...also considering he, told me how to do it in a post form a long time ago.

Lupe

EDIT as for the bolt covered by the subfram, i believed i used a crecent to remove it...i don;t remember becasue it was a long time ago.
