Ok, that's it, I gave you an opportunity to redeem yourself and you threw it in my face again. I didn't want to see people ripping on you or anyone else more than necessary. Since you took the opportunity to slam me and others again, i'll respond.

I have understood for years. Re-read what you have written. This has not been your stance thoughout. You have consistently said that more wattage has equaled better SQ. This is just simply not true.
HOW COME IT TOOK YOU PEOPLE 2 DAYS to realize this. WHY!!!
Perhaps, the question should be "how come you still don't understand?".
your have 50 watts RMS speakers right, to me thats low end to average quality if that.
Me? I personally have a POS HU, running 4 home made coaxes with caps and inductors wired inline to do the crossover work, with a JL10W6 in a POS ported enclosure with a POS "The Gate" amp running the sub. But this is completely irrelevant to the conversation, much like some of your assumptions.
In this statement you once again have made the statement that lower power equals lower quality. This is a ridiculous assumption at best, not fact, as you seem to be trying to present to us.
In my last system, I had a Sony CDX-C910 running to a XDP-210EQ via toslink digital cable. McIntosh MC440M for amplifier power (400w) running some MB Quart seperates, and 3 JL10W6s that I quickly replaced by 1 Adire Shiva. 400w was more than enough to give me quality sound. Yes, I wasted my money initially on Quarts and JL subs, but I wouldn't let it happen again. The only reason I am posting this is to show you that I am pretty familiar with the industry and the different equipment available.
i have 150 RMS speakers thats wht i run 90 or so WATTS, and thats what ive been saying all along, read all my posts , tell me thats not true.
You did state you were running Diamond speakers with 90w, I wasn't aware of the model of Diamond's that you run so I didn't know the RMS rating. So, I guess it is partially true.
and as far as questioning this dave guy i dont care who he is or how many posts hes put up, if your wrong you are wrong, not to say he is but dont tell me im wrong, unless you have a masters in electronics!
I could really care less what you think of me or anyone else here. I also don't care how many posts I have, or how many you have. Neither one of those items have anything to do with right or wrong, and I don't think anyone here insinuated that.
The one thing I do care about supplying accurate information to the people here. This is a hobby of mine that I'll admit to not know everything about. I'm always on the quest for more knowledge, perhaps your should open your mind and do the same. This "don't tell me I'm wrong unless you have a masters..." is a pathetic attempt at trying to shield yourself from future attacks, but your attitude and responses have done nothing but prompt others. I appreciate all of them backing me up, but in the big picture, it boils down to one thing, facts. You could have 300 people defend your point, but if it is wrong, it doesn't matter.
You could have avoided this whole mess by just being a little more diplomatic and not using an electronics degree as your only trump card.
In summary, quality does not go up in proportion to quantity of watts. They are mutually exclusive. More watts even of the same quality will not necessarily give your better results. If you insist that the two go hand and hand, you are wrong and your electronics background can't make your right.
