Sorry, you didn't specify which Civic Si. I assumed pre Mini Van Civic Si. I don't consider the new Civic Si a car, it's more like a Mini Van. The K20 I was referring to was the K20A2, as in the RSX-S. You know... the VTEC K20....and yeah, it does gain 20 hp. Save the "my ass" statements for when we are both on the same page.

And the B16 and B18 swaps putting Civics NA in the 13s is also far fetched. With a shot of nitrous it will....

It's funny how most of you characters look at Hondas, I thougt it would be the opposite actually. Most of you seem to think Hondas are miracle machines and simple bolt ons and engine swaps will give you the fastest car around, and I'm still laughing over the divine "J-Spec" parts comment.

check the dynos for alot of those b18 and b20s...or even an LS /Vtec... With all stock internals and you will see that they actually dont produce any more HP than a Stock SVT Contour.

HOWEVER its the weight difference which makes those B18 vtec Hatchbacks to run such good ETs.. 150-180 whp will go a long way in a 2000lb car.

Now turbos are another story. I am just sticking with the basics here.

But if you want to make a fair comparison by all means show us the all mighty all motor 98+ Preludes. I would love to see one of those break out of the 14s all motor, or out of the 15s rather hehe.

Umm you ask me bout their tires and say "he". So are you asking me about their tires or your buddy tires. You know you acting like I said something bout him, I don't know why you're backing outta of it. So do you want to know what tires people I know use or about what tires your buddy uses? what about a B16 or B18C...those are both motors that will put you in the 13s NA in a civic.




show me one that is in the 13's all motor and has nothing but bolt-ons. that means no internals no headwork strictly bolt-ons....with the possible exception of a B20 in a hatch.




take yourself to jdmcivic.com (this is where all the respectable civic owners are IMO) and have a look...

a b20 is not all that great without the vtec head, the only reason to opt for the b20 is for the torque. A GSR or Type R block can still hang with anyone with a b20/vtec...just have a look for yourself. With that type of HP in a vehicle that light, it doesn't take much to post low #'s.

Edit: and this is not far fetched, you did not specify that the vehicle can only have bolt ons, you stated that without FI it will go nowhere and that is simply not true. I should say with "minimal" mods you can make it into the 13s NA.

alright look all i am saying is whatever i own whether it be a honda or my cougar.....it will not be fast enough for my liking without a turbo. that is all i am trying to say i know that you can make a b-series fast all motor....hell i have ridin in one many times all i am saying is i would want it faster!
