I spent this Sunday working 9 hours at Walmart (1:30-10:30) and have to get up at 6AM tomorrow to fight the 7AM I290 commute to get to my 8AM class ... I would have gladly traded places with you in an instant, it was the perfect temperature today for raking ...

We have it down to a science. In about 1 hour with 3 people we can completely clean a lawn, beds and all of leaves, mow the lawn and cart away the leaves.

We have one person operating a Husqvarna backpack blower who also carries a rake and they get the leves out of the beds and then myself or another person operates the push blower, in our case a 10HP Littel Wonder This operation is followed by someone else running the Scag Turf Tiger with the grass collector. We have the one with the 29HP liguid cooled, digital fuel injected Kawasaki engine.

Then we move all the leaves either to the curb or along the driveway for our "leaf truck" to come and suck them up. The truck has a 18 cubic yard enclosure to collect the leaves sucked up by the Giant Vac And for a small fee of $2 per minute this set up can be scheduled to show up at your house and do curb side pick up after you've cleared your lawn.

I just do mine piecemeal over the course of 2 or 3 weeks. By the third week the trees are usually bare. It's usually only about 1 hour of work for my yard. Haven't started yet though, played 31 holes Saturday and 27 on Sunday.

our landlady did a quicky rake job a week or so ago, but she raked all the driveway leaves up against the garage doors
I dunno why that old [censored] was out raking, especially our driveway on top of her own. She's not a safe walker, and she can barely see.

Anyway, I took the blower off of the shopvac and went to town. Pain in the ass because it was a windy day. eventually I got most of the leaves blown onto the backyard where they've stayed.

I wish raking was all I had to do. I spent today hitting up Home Depot for a small electric pole chainsaw, cut down a bunch of nasty overgrowth and whatnot, and now I have a heap of fallen tres bits in my yard.

I am going to try my hand at mulching tomorrow with the chipper/shredder I rented, and then I get to rake and mow.

Then, if I am really lucky I will have enough time to fertilize and areate the soil....! Oh but then there's the junk in the side yard, and don't forget the hedge needs pruning...
