I'm trying to install a power antena in my 95 contour se since it was one of the few things that it didn't get. It is in place physicaly. What I need to know is where each of the 5 wires go. If someone knows what each of the wire corresponds to this info would prove invaluable to me.
Thank Mark

okay, do you have a multimeter? you have a constant 12+ and a negative. to test 12+ use negative probe and connect to bare clean metal. use positive probe and touch each wire. once you find 12+ keep on the 12+ with your probe and use your negative probe to find ground. there is a input that will only sense when the radio comes on. im guessing its a positive. get a friend to turn your radio on. and probe one wire. no signal then its not it. try it all over. not sure of the rest but i will try to stop by the shop and look it up. what does it say the wires are for on the antenna instructions or guide?

I think that I have the correct wire info now thanks to ROADRUNNER but it has been cold outside lately (close to 0 degrees) so I'm thinking that I will wait till spring to finish this off. When that happens I will try to mak a how to for the mods page.

Hi,
I'm also in a similar positon with adding a power antena. I have a 99 Mistique LS and have recently bought the OEM antena from a wrecker for $130.CAD. Problem is that the motor on the antena has a 7 volt max. There are also 2 relays attached to the unit and I can't find any wires in the rear of the car to plug into.
I've also learned from my local Ford parts guy, that if the car did not have the power antena from the factory it would be very difficult to add the OEM part as the wiring harness has no connection for the OEM part.
SO, what do I do? Anyone have any ideas? Or should I just buy an aftermarket part and install that? Please help.
