A few days ago, I bought a wheel from a junkyard, to replace one that I broke the previous week in an unfortunate encounter with a curb. There was a tag attached to this wheel, with a VIN # on it, presumably that of the car from which this when came.
As far as the free part of CarFax goes, it confirms that this VIN goes to a Contour. I presume that the car bearing this VIN is no more, that it now exists only as assorted other parts, most of them probably still at this same junkyard.
I was wondering if this car used to belong to one of us CEG members.
I guess the only way to know would be if someone who used to own a 1995 Contour LX were to recognize the VIN and reply that yes, this was his car.
