As you can see, I don't know to much about the Contours engine but am learning at a drastic rate. Now, for my Super Charger install, I need to drill a hole in my oil Pan. I have a chance at getting the baffled oil pan and might just do that. and if so how hard is it to remove the oil pan.

Was it very hard though. Did it take very long?

For me its not that difficult....you just have to remove the y-pip to get full access.

Took me 30 minutes.

Just remember to get a new oil pan gasket....I i believe you may need some RTV sealant, the ford CD will show you if you do or not.

Thought the post below might interest you guys.

I had a problem with my sump bolt, could only get about half of the reccomended torque on it and there was evidence of thread damage, so I decided to fit the revised part 02/2004, brought the part from bat and the Gentleman member Tony (Imspanners MEG (UK)) fitted it for me today, heres a few images.

Firstly the old and new sumps at the side of each other, The oily sump is from a facelift V6, you will notice the extra baffles on the new one. :O also notice that the Facelift V6 already had a improved oil flow mechanism plate to stop the oil quickly leaving the lower sump area on hard cornering

Next thing noticed was that the newer sump had a built-in gasket, the depth of the new sump increased to allow the side bolts to locate correctly.

Here are the y pipes and old sump removed, notice the clean filter in the takeup pipe :O

And finally the sump installed just the y pipes to finish off now, notice the top of Tony's hand just at the bottom of the picture

Contrary to what someone mentioned this revised part is indeed available from B.A.T

Thanks again to Tony (MEG UK) you are a real star :L
