Ok everyone I am on my third alternator in the past Month in a half.

The first one I went through was a performance alternator from mean green, and I had installed a 0 Gauge power wire from the alternator to the battery (as it recommended)

Lasted 700 miles


2nd alternator lasted 2 weeks: stock alternator

3rd alternator lasted 2 days:

They came back and said that all electrical connections tested out to be fine, and they think that the cause is the 0 gauge wire making it full field and die.

Anyone think this is possible. A fellow CEG'rs car is running 0 gauge from alternator to battery and his is doing fine.
