I was flipping thru some car mags at borders today and one had a photo of a disguised Fusion, can't remember which mag though

It's kinda sad, the name was supposed to be Futura, until the Pep Boys stepped in and said, "sorry, that's the name of our tires, you can't have it". Ford tried playing hardball but Pepe Boys won't give up, so... Fusion it is. The 500 supposedly will be produced along WITH the Taurus for two model years. I would definately look into one.
The Fusion will have a Lincoln cousin, the Zephyr, which WILL be the competitor to the CTS.
All based off the next-generation Mazda-6 platform.

WOW, that looks so great... until you get to the front grille then its like... *FART* ugly. With the exception of the grille I really like that lincoln

I can't see Ford NA ignoring the midsize market for much longer. The 500 is a step up in size from the Taurus and that leaves a big gap between it and the Focus. I also don't see the 500 or anything like it replacing the Mondeo. It's just too big for the Euro market.
