worse than mine?

Friday I found out that my 15 YO nephew ran away from his Aunt's house (he doesnt live with his mom). Sunday my football team lost and I broke up with my girlfriend. I also found out yesterday that a good friend of mine is in the hospital with liver failure and only has a 50% chance of survival. If he does live, he will need a new liver.

On the other hand, I built a new computer last week. RAWK!

The Nephew was found after having an night away, BTW.

Lifelong Seahawks fan. I least I am used to dissapointment.

I am also a fan of the Tigers. So it has been 20 years since either of the teams I like has been even moderately successful.

Maybe worse than yours Beowulf,

Got pulled over and issued a "Driving While Suspended" ticket on Friday. Turns out my insurance company screwed up filing my SR-22 so my license was in fact suspended at the time. Now I get to hire a lawyer to explain the whole damn thing and pay out the nose. USAA claims responsibility and will pay for everything, but we'll see when they see the lawyer fees.

My football team lost to the N.O. SAINTS FOR GOD SAKE!! I'm a faithful fan, but damn.

My great aunt died after much suffering. I believe she was 76. Most members of my family have lived into their 90's so it was a bit shocking. Looks like I have to drive to Idaho Falls ID by Friday for the funeral.

To add insult to injury, today the stupid DOL was closed so I couldn't get my driver's license thing straightened out. CLOSED ON A MONDAY!! Only in Washington.

Good news is computer related for me as well...ordered an Athlon XP 3000+ to replace my aging XP 2000+. Yipee!

Yeah Shotwell, yours was worse than mine.

If you can explain the extenuating circumstances to the judge, hopefully he will knock it down. I had that happen a few years ago and had the driving on suspended reduced to driving without having the drivers license with me which is a 100 dollar fine.

My condolences for your family's loss.

I saw my friend last night, and he is lots of pain, and bitching like a 3 year old, so that is a good sign. They are still trying to increase his potassium so that the liver is strong enough to handle anesthesia so they can extract the abscessed tooth. As far as after that, it is pretty much in the air.

More processor is ALWAYS good. My jump was from and ancient AMD K6-2 350 to the Athlon 64 3000. I jumped to ludicrous speed.

and to Eminem -

My ex-GFU and I got together on Labor Day last year, so just over a year. We have been living together for the last year ever since she moved out from Ohio. I can't tell you how much stress has left me since Sunday. I sort of feel bad, but it is nice to be able to sleep instead of stress out about the state of our relationship.

My condolences to your family as well. I lost one of my grandmothers a year ago. She had cancer and managed to hang in there for a year, but finally succumbed.

I am sure your family knows how much you would like to be with them at this time, and they know that you are fulfilling your sworn duty.

I wish you a speedy return. My friend George is in Iraq as well. You all stay safe.

Well,
Not nearly as tragic but rather bad luck.

On Saturday, I went played paintball. I just did a bunch of mods to my marker and in my limited testing at home verythign was fine but now once I got to the field. Had to tinker with it all day. It was a POA.

In game number four, I'm trotting across the the field when my foot slips on a rock and I jam/hyperextend my ankle. Stings for a second but goes away and I play two more rounds. Go for pizza afterwards and change into my sandals to go inside. On the way out my ankle is a little stiff but not bad. 10 min into my drive, my ankle is screaming. I can't find a position without pain. Did I mention I was an hour+ from home and it was my right ankle. I get home, ice, ellivate, and pop 4 advil. Hour later no change and I'm in agony. My girlie drives me 40 min to a hospital that doesn't have a 3 hr wait, I'm in and out in two hours with some percocet and a brace for my severly sprained ankle.

Oh and on the way home from the field, my car blew a CEL.

Andy W. The problem with America is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?
