I'm looking to get all installed, new head unit of course. I've found a decent deal on a Rockford Fosgate setup, though I've heard a ton of slamming by JVC fans. Any advice? I can get them all put in, and a custom housing for my deck for about $800. $550 of that is the parts Then is installation, and fabrication of the dash area. Anyone have serious objections?

They want $250 to put in a new HU and a CD changer?!?! Are you serious??? What in the world do they have to fabricate???
A good installation kit, which would include all necessary wiring, brackets, dash adapters, detailed instructions, etc... would cost $50 tops from Crutchfield. Then just mount the changer to the underside of the rear deck in the trunk, run a couple of wires, and you're all done.

Tis the problem there, no kits. To mount in my dash requires a custom built, shaped, and painted house. The $250 includes all materials for that. Plus, that's with what will likely be a brushed aluminum look.
