I have lived in this house for less then 6 months and my GF's civic has been hit twice and now my SVT! They took it all! Is popping the lock like this common on the Fords? Is this going to be easy to fix? I have only been in the door once, for a speaker change. The first ones are 35mm scans..The "before" pics.. And to the after.... I hate thieves! 1999 SVT Contour, 2004 SRT4 & Lots Others... Currently building my 1999 SVT for NASA's TT REAL racers do it twisty!!

From the looks of it they planned this because they actually cut the wires, and those are too heavy a gage just to work through with a pocket knife. Probably the one time you wish the remote trunk release wasn't there huh. Hopefully your insurance will cover some of the losses and the police will actually look into it. I've replaced my whole drivers door, including swapping the locking system from one door to another. I can't believe that popping the lock like that would allow the door to open, especially when the lock is mechanical. I'm not sure. Those guys must be damn good at what they do unfortunately. When my friends firebird got jacked, they mangled the hell out of the area around the lock. We bondo'ed the crap out of it, and eventually just had the door replaced. Get a damn Neighborhood watch program going. Totally sucks! Insurance will cover it all I hope. They even cut the main harness in my dash. I just hope the door/lock is not to bad to fix! 1999 SVT Contour, 2004 SRT4 & Lots Others... Currently building my 1999 SVT for NASA's TT REAL racers do it twisty!!
