Recently, my brake lamps went out. I replaced the fuse and all was well but now they do not work and they keep blowing the fuse. Also, my cruise control suddenly stopped working around the same time. Not really concerned with this, didn't know if maybe they were somehow oddly related. I don't know, electrical has always been my s l o w area. Any help before I have to take it in because I can't ride around with no brake lights...

BTW the wiring to the third brake light is not the cause because I unplugged it and the fuse still blows. I searched and saw this may be a cause but not in my case.

Well, I took it a dealer, told them I had an electrical problem and to try and find it. Two hours later they come back and say "You have an electrical problem, we need to find it." I said "No [censored], that's what I said". They said they would need it for a few more hours. I freaked out and left but they didn't charge me atleast. So, they were no help except reassuring me that it is an electrical issue, which is painfully obvious. What a bunch of idiots. Any help from you electrical people out there?

See if any wires got pinched, like if you worked on anything recently. You could remove all the tail bulbs, if the fuse still blows when you step on the brakes, wiring short, you will have to track it down, a big job. Also, be sure the right value of fuse is in place.
