I tried a search so just chill search nazis. Ok now that is out of the way. I wanted to know if anyone has found a better method/location for a cup holder? In my topaz I just screwed one to the door, but I sold that car for $750. This needs to look good! Our stock one are a good idea except nothing fits them and they break easily.

This isn't really a troubleshooting issue. If you did your search here that's probably why it came up empty. There are some threads in General Mods if you search for "cupholder" but I don't know if its exactly what you're looking for. You could also try searching the archives, there might be something there, too.

i gave up on the cup holders on our 96 contour..i just open the lid to the center console and put a biggie wendy's cup in there and it works great... if i have a smaller drink cup then i will put a can of pepsi behind it and get the same great support on the cup... hope this helps.

Interestingly enough I'd rather take the 95-97 cupholders anyday over the ones as in the 99 Cougar. Tried both, and find it works much better. Even my friend with the 99 cougar agrees. Its all personal preference though.

if you have the 98+ holders.. pop out the rubber insert on the driver's side.. it makes it deeper (a smoker's package could be had in that place) and it will hold MOST LARGE cups (44 to 64 oz..)
