I don't know much about engine work I usually do stereos. But I need to know where I can find the compression ratio for my car. I drive a 95 Contour with the Zetec engine. Help me please!

are you serious, is that not almost perfect for boost? i thought we had like a 10:1 or 11:1 compression ratio

heres the real question, what can be done to make our zetecs perform. Currently they are below the level of lesser displacement engines aka 1.8dohc in integras produce 140hp and our 2.0dohc produces 125hp. Since the compression ratio is almost the same and they are both dohc, what the heck is the deal. I know there are more differences, but come on.

There are a lot more differences, also we have more torque.

96 ATX Zetec (i brake to watch you swerve)

yes I said that, but what are the ones that effect the difference in power?

What does it matter? I mean, it's not like you can really redesign the engine. One thing they rev higher. All engines are different, different cams, different pistons, different valves, different intake and exhaust manifolds.

well of course you can't redesign it, but you can change things like compression ratio, pistons, ect. Maybe its the rod ratio or stroke, something definately makes the difference and I am curious what it is.
