This is not for a contour, but I can't find any info online about selecting the right amp. You can delete this if you want.

I just bought a JL Audio Stealthbox for my truck, and am looking for an amp to power it.

What type do you guys recommend? I guess I need a 125W amp. It needs to have speaker level inputs since this is going on an otherwise stock system.

Thanks for any help you can give an ex contour owner

look for any kind of TRUE RMS mono block amp that pushes 125-150watts RMS at 4ohms.

Simon,

check this out:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=4950&item=5725475644&rd=1

It's more than you need, but it's not huge and you get a LOC (line out converter) for cheap. Now you have an amp to last a long time and grow into.

I bought one just because the price was so low...

If you're not worried about big name brands, check out the Planet Audio amps. I've used these for people not wanting to spend much and they've surprised me a lot. They put out rated RMS power, look decent, and have quite a few control options, such as crossovers, etc. They are also cheap as hell off of eBay.
