I've asked before and not gotten much response...
Does anyone use Bosch plugwires? I know most people run magnecors or autolites, hit or miss on the ford racing wires...
I've always used bosch plugs and put a bosch plugwire set on my ranger one time, and they do have a really good reputation.
At the recommendation of all you guys I've bought autolite dbl. plat. plugs, and will install them when I get the wires.
So, what do y'all think about bosch wires? They're about $54 before shipping to buy online; nobody has them in stock around here.
Thanks
Jed

People tend to reccomend either Magnecore, Autolite, or stock. I think that the Bosch wires are a hit or miss as well as their plugs. Most people say stay away from the Bosch plugs. I put the Autolite dbl. plat plugs in my mystique and it seems to like them. No complaints thus far.
I think for my next set of wires i'll give the Ford racing ones a shot, but im not sure yet.
Hope that helps.

I just threw out a set of Bosch wires because they caused ignition problems. I replaced with a used set of OEM wires for troubleshooting purposes and the problems (harsh shifting, sluggish performance, bogging on the freeway) went away immediately. I forgot what was on the box, but the wires themselves say "Bosch-8mm opti-layer mag core ultra premium". They had about 25k miles on them.
My personal experience is to stay away from Bosch wires, but there are probably others who haven't had problems like I have.

Same story for me - just replace "Bosch" with "Ford Motorsport"!

Yeah I've had the nifty red Ford Motorsport wires since 80K or so. No complaints, plus they look pretty good in the engine compartment of a red car.
Edit: Oh, I just noticed that SVT Pete wasn't saying they were good. Oh well, guess I'm lucky so far.

i put a set of bosch wires on my 93 taurus and the lasted for about 6 yrs... i thought the wires were my problem with missing and i brought them back to auto zone and got a new set( lifetime guarantee).. no cost... and put them on.. it was the fuel pump relay that was the problem.....i paid about $25 for the orignal set at auto zone.... stay away from their cheaper sets.. you get what you pay for....
