Yup, that is my ugly mug sitting on the rear bumper of my SVT.
I do need to correct what the caption said though... I did _not_ do the woodwork in the enclosure. I have an installer that did it for me. Of course, he too was an SVT Contour owner (black '98, lowered, 17" Mille Miglias) at one point. I wish the photographer had asked about the car instead of assuming I did the install. I always give credit where it is due.
Thanks for the kind words, Pete. When you listened to it in Georgia, it still hadn't had the final little tweaks that improved the sound to where it was at the IASCA Finals. But, Georgia was still an excellent show for me with 1st in Pro Street 1-600, the highest Street Division scores overall, and 15th in the "Top 25" round which had both Ultimate and Street competitors being judged in an "Open" class using Ultimate rules scoring.
As for the car with the re-built dash, That was built by (and owned by) Steven Head, who owns (I think) the AudioNutz car stero stores in a few places in Florida. I have heard that car several times, both as a judge and at the owners request, and let me tell you it sounds as impressive as the install looks. It definitely gets your attention and keeps it.
If any of you have any questions about competition, please let me know. There are some things happenning right now on the sound quality side that could make things confusing for newcomers. I'll help in any way that I can.
