Not that I know any of you really that well at all from being a CEG member for the past few years, but im really so excited i can't help but tell someone: tomorrow I'll be picking up my SVT replacement-- a 2002 Jaguar X-type 2.5 MTX with sport/premium package.
I loved the SVT but it's time to move on the bigger, better things!

Pretty slow w/o the 3L though. Would have went with something else.

Way to rain on his parade..
Actually, I thought the 2.5L with the 5-speed had decent enough power, about on-par with the SVT.

Personally, I really like the car. The lines are classic! The rear end could use a little more thought, but overall an excellent package, & a 2002 is a very good buy these days!
Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.

Hope you are getting a good deal because Jag can't give new ones away. I agree with Todras, not my choice.

I've heard the Jag service departments are horrible. But, my brother-in-law would not drive anything else.

Depreciation is bad on these, but that makes them a bargain in the used market.
Can I ask what you picked it up for?
