i had some of the new shox but they rubbed the he!! out of my ankle bones. i bled out it felt like, my first time wearing them. promptly took them back for the elements.

if i could get away with it and wouldn't turn my ankle every jump, i would use soem running shoes. i can play real fast with them. seem to jump higher with them too. every time i wear running shoes though, i sprain my ankle til the sole is turning towards the sky.

any nike flight is good and light too. love them just don't like the style anymore.

WHAT brand running shoes and models have u used?

right now i have the new adidas running sneaks, not sure the style but the look like shox. i haven't sprained my ankle in these. i have, however, sprained the life out of them in some air max's.
i remember one time i sprained my right one so bad i was on crutches for 2 weeks. i couldn't even touch it. it was swelled all up my calf.
one thing i learned from sprained ankles is to not try to grab rebounds over the taller fellas. this white boy got hops. then again, i tore my acl just trying to pass someone for a lay-up, heh.

Davo: I've already invested in Inner lok 8s

I don't plan on buying without trying on. Get an idea of what's available online and pricing. Try on at the stores and buy from wherever us cheapest.

Thanks for the input fellas.

Those look to be just as good, if not better. In that case, I'd suggest getting a mid, since you have all the ankle support you're going to get in that brace.

Sweet. I didn't know if mids would give me enough support even with the braces. I've had enough with casts, crutches, braces, canes and physical therapy!

Picked up the Nike Air Zoom Generation for $50.

Tried on many shoes and these were by far the most comfortable - already feel broken in. The other colors were $40 more, so I opted for the black.

Bern: the Air Elements were really nice, but with the ankle braces, too narrow.

The Barkleys were very good as well, but couldn't justify the price tag.

$50 well spent.

Good choice. One bit of advice I forgot to include, which you didn't need to be told, is to not look at the price when trying shoes on. I've had better success with the $50-100 price range than anything above that. I think the shoe industry is one where the "you get what you pay for" idea doesn't always work.

try some real running shoes. Those nike and adidas "running" shoes are worth crap. They arent designed for people like us who over/under pronate. Try something like mizuno, asics, and saucony. I prefer mizuno

see if u can find a fleet feet store around u

read the info on these shoes
