I tried calling my local "Murray's" and they said they didn't have anything on record for the light bulb in the clock illumination.

Anyone know where I can find one of these in S.E. Michigan?

thanks

for a direct replacement your Ford dealer

it is a bulb and socket all together but you don't get the green cover for the bulb

its around $3

Or do what I did and go to a junkyard and get one for a buck.

I just put in an LED and resistor when mine died. There is a post about this someplace in the forum. If you do this mod a good tip here is to point the led down to avoid the color spots on the back of the LCD. I've got a blue one in mine right now, but to be honest, I'm sick of blue LED's at this point.

I took a light bulb from my High mount brake light, and inserted it in, then went to junkyard and pulled all the light bulbs from the high mount brake light and replaced it.

All the bulbs for clock from junkyard = dead

I bought the correct bulb from Autoone, but it didn't have Ford's proprietary base. I just pulled the base out and soldered the bulb to the contacts on the clock board. It took all of two minutes to get it done.

you don't even have to solder it. just take the bulb and bring it to a local parts store, they'll find it. I got like 3 for a dollar locally.
