Depends what you are doing. For everyday listening he is about 32x as loud as a comfortable volume needs to be. If he competes in SPL competitions, he may or may not need to work on it some more.
Can you tell me specifically what he is running?

If I may ask, how did he measure that he has 160db in his CR-V? Did he compete in a db Drag? Does he know someone that owns a car audio shop? To answer your question, no, you can never have too much. I am also curious on what he is running.

The two audiobahn subs are the reason I am questioning the ability to hit 160 dB.

it would requires somewhere on the order of 30dB of cabin gain to reach 160 db with those subs. I don't think that would be happening...

Dnew- Why do you hate audiobahn, and push home speakers on everyone(daytons)? I ask cause you seem to know a whole bunch about car audio, I'm a newbie in the realm of car audio, but audiobahn was the best quality I could get at a bargain price. I've heard a lot of people on sounddomain that hate audiobahn(that don't run them), but everyone I talk to that run's their speakers/amps loves em. Am I missing something? (probably am...)
