Mobil 1 5w30 (no really cold days here so I can do that) ever since 6k miles. I change the oil religiously every 3k miles, and since I drive my car hard enough to make the oil nasty in 3k miles I feel good about this.... :D

I use BMW brand synthetic since I buy it by the case whenever I pick up parts for my 635CSi. Its rebranded Castrol Syntec 5W30, but it is the European formula, ie fully synthetic, not the wannabe synthetic that Castrol pushes here in the states.
