That would be awesome!! This election was heading there until last Thursday's debate.

Bush was just clearing Kerry's position up for everyone. Cheney hit the nail on the head tonight, that Kerry's opinions on Iraq have changed with the political climate. As soon as he needed to go anti-war to beat Dean, he did. Then when he needed to think about the general election, he was again in support of the war. When it was clear he couldn't beat Bush by being pro-war, his only hope was to go anti-war. This kind of wavering is okay for a far-left Senator, but not a president.

Yep. That brings the total number of people who understand Kerry's position on Iraq to ONE.

Jay Leno said it was a debate of "de litigator vs. defibrillator" he also said, "if Cheney is in the debate tonight, then who's running the country??"

IMO from an intellectual standpoint, Cheney won. At least he bothered to answer the specific questions asked of him.
From every other standpoint (debating style, agressiveness, staying on message), Edwards won. He basically ignored the specific questions in favor of hammering home his main points. Sadly, that's the more effective tactic these days.

A week ago I watched Bill Clinton's campaign manager get on and explain how he would run the Kerry campaign if he were their manager. Clinton had a very good campaign manager, that is why he won two presidential elections, one with the help of perot. Well his campaign manager said that he wouldn't even think about trying to debate Bush in the war on terror, "that it is just plain stupid". And it seems to me that all this election is based on right now is the war. So if Kerry keeps trying to bring up "I'm such a great War Hero" and I will protect this country, then Bush will just eat him alive just like Cheney destroyed Edwards.

You're kidding, right?
Edwards was almost as bad as Bush last week in terms of style. The repetition on his part was mind-bending and he came off as nervous as heck during most of the debate. I don't believe I've EVER seen one person blink so much in my life. He was aggressive, though Cheney would fly right back at him and more often than not, end up broiling him.
Staying on message? If you mean repeating the same point ad-naseum, then I would agree.
Any way you cut this one, Cheney tore Edwards a new hole, much in the same way Kerry did to Bush last week...
