Im not sure if this is the right post section but i figured tranny is tranny. I was wondering about light weight flywheels. Around 9.5 pounds and 11. Like a SPEC flywheel. Its a common prob with csvt's to have very slow down reving, is this soley cause the throttle hang issue...or will a light weight flywheel help. The flywheel on the csvt is 20 pounds if im not mistaken, 22 on a normal 2.5. I would appreciate any input on peeps with light weight flywheels with any noticable diffs...deff in the down reving department, thanks...

the main reason a people get a ligth flywheel is to saty in the reves, i believe the reason is phyisics....A light object takes less force to get to speed, and less force to stay in motion.

the lighten flywheel is good for auto x, and road racing because its easier to stay in the power band.

A heavier flywheel from what i understand is good for drag racing...im not quite sure on the specifics on that.

I have a fidanza (about 10 lbs) and it works great for my auto x and road racing fun.

big diffrence between the stock an this one.

I think you will like it.

but what i am asking is do the revs actually drop faster...i envy my bros supercharged integra cause it drops revs immediately...all the way from redline....my csvt ever so slowly drops revs....is this only cause of the throttle hang....or can i get a flywheel to see improvments with reving down...thanks...

If you have not fixed throttle hang fix it...that is your primary problem....a lighten flywheel will also drop fast (from what i notice) but not much faster...you mainly notice it when accelerating.

Fix the throttle hang than see how you like it....becuase ven with a lighten flywheel, you still will ahve throttle hang.

Throttle hang is a programmed in emission's feature.

It opens the IAC 100% to help burn off the unburnt fuel.

I can be defeated either with the TH fix (sized to your tastes) or in the PCM code itself.
