DEH-7400MP. Not in stock yet, but the new Pioneer line has begun shipping, so I placed my order today. It is XM ready (I'm waiting for the HW costs to come down under $100) and has a non-fading pre-amp out (now I need to pick my subwoofer poison). What more could I ask for? Then again, it does have one of those silly organic displays, but what can you do?
Has anyone else been waiting for Pioneer to sell an MP3 HU?

I've been waiting for new mp3 HU's to come out. Nothing out there right now seems quite worth the money. The Clarion unit was pretty close, tho.
What are the Pioneer's going for?

I saw the San Jose and was planning on ordering it, but it was out of stock until the Pioneer was posted. I've been waiting for Pioneer to come up with something for some time since I prefer their styling and have had good experience with their product.
Crutchfield is the only site where I've been able to find a decent description so far. They are taking orders for $329, but they don't have an ETA for their first shipment. However, their first shipment for the lower level new models just came in today, so they're optimistic that they'll have these in stock soon.

I hate manufacturer websites you'd think pioneer would have their new product information available before they go up for sale dammit all to hell it's 2002, and we need to have information available NOW

You know, I had noticed that too, but somehow forgotten about it when I decided that I was going to order it. Happily, Pioneer saved me from an aesthetic fau paux. Assuming that the organic display isn't too tacky, it should be a nice looking install in my dash. My order shipped this morning. Now I have an extra set of DIN tools, wiring harnesses, aux input adapter, and instructions on the way. With a little luck, they'll ship the HU before I go postal. Anyone interested in a lightly used Pioneer DEH-3100 HU?

Just ordered an AIWA CDC-MP3 HU to replace the Ford POS. The stock Ford CD HU just doesn't play CD-R's reliably. The AIWA is 199.99 at Crutchfield. Meets my MP3 needs for a good price. Next time I have some $ I'll replace the speakers.
