Hi,

I need to widen the front track on my 1998.5 CSVT to accomodate a new brake kit. If I widen the front track by 2 x .375" should I do the same to the rear or is this small difference not an issue?

TIA,
Dan

you're widening it 3/4" total. as long as you do the same thing to both the left & right sides, you won't cause much of a problem, however, you should check for tire clearance at the fenders, and mention what you've done when you go for wheel alignments. I personally would widen both the front & rear, but citroen has made a number of cars that had a narrower track at the rear than the front which drove well.

contours, deloreans & fiats, oh my!

What brake kit? You will likely put extra stress on the bearings and wear the out. Wheel spacers are the only way I can think of to do so. 3/4 each side is alot.

Andy W. The problem with America is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?

I will use H&R wheel spacers; .375" each side. The brake kit is Baer.
