OK guys, I hope someone can help. Here's my problem - I got everything hooked up with the amp bypassed, and you can hear the radio but it is really quit and really scratchy and staticy. Also, I don't think all the speakers are working. I think the problem lies in one of two areas:
1) Improper ground. To ground it, I connected the ground (black) cable of the HU harness to the ground cable of the wiring harness. Does this ground it properly?
2) Bad amp bybass. Long story short, the harness they gave me only fit on one end. So I took it back and they gave me a different connector for the other end. It didn't fit - the pins and holes lined up, but the plastic pieces didn't fit together. So I took my dremel and cut off the plastic shroud and plugged it in. My guess is that perhaps the wires are not connected to where they should be. Does anyone have the color code of the factory amp? The end with the small black square connector going from the amp to the head unit.
