If you are under 80,000 miles, take it to the dealer, for new pre-cats.

thanks.........maybe next time you will realize you are searching on the forum section for quick easy answers or to HELP someone out, hoping you can one day get it in return! i dont really have much time having a 1, 4, and 6 year old to get to my computer and spend all the time in the world! i used to use a different user name, but over time i have forgotten the password....... but i always posted with rather helpful replies, not just a search! also, im rather discusted to know that there are people part of the COA, that are so rude. i have owned my 2000 SVT since new( meaning i am the original owner) and my warranty has just ended in july. all i was looking for was a link, or a quick hint! thanks for your help to those who have helped! for those who dont, maybe you should spend some more time on eBay! you would make a good DEADBEAT bidder!

code 420 refers to the O2 sensor, specifically the #1 bank above or before cats, this is the sensor right by the fire wall under the coil pack. their is a how to in the howto section, i hope this helps

Uh, no!

Catalyst efficiency test, as already noted.

a how-to should be posted on this specific code and the possible ways to fix the code...this specific code has been beaten to death. i posted 2 links about this and have many more posts saved because i had to deal with it and i researched it in great depth...

ok
done venting

Cheers
