yeah...i was at the track last night and i saw one of these...it was running 9.7 in an 1/8...i was wondering how these cars run? i dont think i had ever seen one...in real life anyway...the more i looked at it the more i loved it...i just wondering what other ppl thought about these cars

I too wanted to find out how these GTi's run..did a lil research and here's what I dug up.. How GTi's Run..

Depending on the year they can vary quite a bit in what they offer over the standard golf. This guy I worked with had a 97 (4-cyl) which was close to a standard golf in most aspects, traded that in on a GTI 337, and now owns an R32

I have an '03 1.8T. Never raced it against my SVT, but after driving both hard I'd put money on the 1.8T taking it in the quarter.

the 1.8t is an awesome motor, and responds well to mods. the new jetta's a really nice i think. i would spend a little more and by an audi a4 quattro though.
