Hello,

I wanted to say 'thank you' to everyone on this board for making Contour.org such a valuable, entertaining and overall 'great' place to visit. It truly made owning my 99 SVT that much more enjoyable.

After much deliberation, I decided to sell my SVT and buy a truck. I had to sell the SVT as I wouldn't want to have 2 cars and a truck (other car is my '87 Chrysler 5th Ave - left to my by my grandfather, it has too much sentimental value and is quite the hoopty about town).

Having become a new home owner, a more utilitarian ride was in order. Having become a 'born-again' frugal person, I chose to go with something that was inexpensive, has strong resale value, and runs like clockwork.

I picked up my 2004 Toyota Tacoma back in July. It is a very basic truck, 4cyl, 5sp, 4wd standard cab. No bling bling here, but having a $185/mo car payment at 1.9 APR feels kind of nice I must say! So far my Toyota has been trouble free and I expect it to continue to be as such.

As you can guess, I miss having the SVT...but I have a newfound love. Earlier this spring, I decided to pursue motorcycling. Here's a few pics of my 2003 Suzuki SV650:

This pic is sad because the SVT is in the background saying "I used to be 'that girl'...!"

BTW I have about 4k on the bike and 3k on the truck...I think it's been a good (and safe!) summer :-)

I will be sure to pop in from time to time, even if it's only as a visitor Thanks again!

Well, it was nice having you here! Everyone that is/was/will be part of CEG will always be part of the family!

BTW, I'm a die hard Ford guy, but I think you picked a good truck that won't ask alot from your wallet. My brother has a Tundra and he loves it.

Looks like I'll be next in line to get rid of BOTH Contours.
I'll be getting something VERY soon (hopefully) that is decent on gas mileage and that is still fun to drive.

Will let ya'll know how that goes. But as of now, my pkan is to get rid of both of the cars by the end of the week.

Unless someone wants to buy my SVT from me, it'll be traded in for close to nothing. I'll be putting back some of the stock items on the car to part out some of the mods I've done over the past 3 years.

Well well, this stinks .. so many nice SVTs being sold for next to nothing this month and I don't have any money to buy one!

haha. (couldn't afford two cars anyway, and no way I'm parting with this one anytime soon)

Toyota trucks last a long time. They've made a good name for themselves and are keeping with it.
