I have pirelli P6000, they don't make those anymore but I can tell you this, they SUCK!! I have no grip on dry pavement and certainly no traction in wet weather and I don't even wanna know whats gonna happen in winter thats why I'm buying winter tires. Pirelli's suck, IMO want grip? don't get pirelli's

Those are a very old design, and have been surpassed by current technology. In "their day" they were a good tire. I have some that I use for summer, and they are actually much better than my all-seasons, but they have a soft sidewall, and the aging tread compound really hits its limit on the autocross course.

Anyway, the P-Zero is a newer Pirelli, and any critique of the P6000 really has no bearing.

If you must get all-seasons, get the Falken Ziex. Hands-down a great tire. For a better bargain, Kuhmo ECSTA ASX are good for the money. I'd recommend a summer/winter set though. Blizzaks or something on steelies or 14-15" alloys, and Fuzion ZRi in 225/50R16 on SVT wheels. You'll be better off year-round.

I have the Dunlops in the 225-50/16 size they are a little bulgy on the E1 rims. I call them my fatties. They are a pretty good tire. Mine are a bit noisy but I think that is due to wear from a few autocrosses. I probably have about 15000 miles on them and there is still a good amount of tread left. My car originally came with 205-55/16 5000s they lasted 40000 miles but they were getting dangerous in the rain. I just got the falkens for my 17s they were a huge deal at $80 a tire shipped (free shipping at the time) from discount tire direct 215-45/17. So far I like them. I think the 225s did give me slightly better launching. The difference in price from 215 to 225 for the falkens was about $13 which is odd since all other tires I was looking at was only a few dollar difference. I haven't driven on the Falkens long enough to say if they are any better or worse than the 5000s but everything I read recommended them.

Here are the tires on my SVT

Here are the same tires changed over to my mystique.

Based off of the reviews on Tire Rack, I recenly purchased the P-Zero M+S in 215/45/17. I have put about 1K miles on them so far and they're a great tire! I haven't had a chance to really test them in the wet yet (or the snow, obviously) but dry performance is top notch. Very low noise, nice ride quality and no signs of wear yet (the little rubber fubbies are still on some spots).
