The beast is alive!!! So I dropped the car off at Ford to see if they can diagnose what's up. So I go back and talk to the Tech and we are there for around 20-25 minutes trying to figure out what is going on. Well, we are analyzing this...and that...and tracing the codes...blah blah blah. We are pretty much convinced that it's the PCM and the EGR or a combination of the two. So then I tell him that I'm convinced that cylinder #3 had a bad input from the coil pack. The Tech goes....3#??? I said yeah...#3. He says....that's #1!!! You poopin me I say!! He worked on it for 2 1/2 hours and I worked on it for a few days....
I put the wrong plug on the wrong cylinder!!! Damn I'm an idiot!!!
What's worse is that the Tech didn't realize it either!!!
So, we did run the codes on the computer before that and it turns out that my EGR is basically not working. It's plugged somewhere and he "shuts" it off...the car still runs, which should not happen. I've tried to get that thing off before....anyone have any suggestions on getting that stupid thing off??? I've tried several times, not just on my car but other tours too..............thanks.
