an AT WRX is a shame, now that that's out of the way.... From a roll, you should be able to keep even or at least not get pulled on by a few feet....From a dig, you might have shot also since a hard launch is not necessarily attainable on a modern AT.....either way, you're not going to get "killed" per se....

For Americans! Back in Australia, when the first WRX's came out, Auto was NEVER an option.
Like I always say, buying a performance car with an Auto tranny (bar the top-notch MB/BMW units) is like putching ketchup on Filet Mignon - YOU JUST DON'T DO THAT!

No dude, you wont beable to take it. The 03 WRX, even in auto form is a shitload faster then a stock CSVT. My buddy's 01 kicks my Mystique every time I even think about it.

If the CSVT is modded, it should win. I know from experience(in a controlled environment), and the WRX was stick, but I am not stock.

Are you saying you beat a WRX with a modded SVT? If so, what mods do you have? because i got slaughtered by two of them and they were both stock! I would love to follow your mod path.

I've taken down my share of WRX's myself. If the WRX doesn't do a 5k clutch dump, they aren't going to get a huge lead. I took down a 2004 WRX just the other week. I wasn't used to these tires yet, and so he took me off the line by a little bit, but once I got up into my secondaries, I caught ground, was past him in 2nd, and had 2 cars by the end of 3rd. All I know was that he had an exhaust and blow off valve. 60' times are the main reason the WRX's can run the times that they do. I've had some close calls with a couple of WRX's from a roll, so I knew they had probably turned the boost up, or I would have slaughtered them stock.
