I have posted about this before.
my tour stalls when in idle mostly when you shift to drive or reverse and when you turn on the A/C (any load I guess).
I have checked several things but I am curious to know if the Cat could be an issue. This car has 190K miles on it and I smell exhaust/gas fumes when trying to keep it idling.
The TPS was just replaced with no change. The IAC seems to fuction and several sensors have be changed. Any brilliant ideasout there?

How do you know for sure that the IAC seems to function? Have you taken it out and made sure? If not I would check in to that. Is you check engine light on? If so, provide us with the codes. Also you say you have replaced some sensors, please elaborate more. It's easier to help when you're more descriptive and tell us what you've done already done so we can eliminate that as a problem.

I pulled the IAC and put 12V to it and it functioned very smooth. I also cleaned it while I had it out.
The TPS and PCV I replaced. I cleaned the MAF. *If you remove the intire intake plenum down to the TB it will do exactly the same thing. I am trying to figure out what all my Brother replaced but I think he replace the O2 sensor, plugs and wires. I don't think the EGR was replaced.
When you start the car it starts perfect, while you drive it runs very smooth. As soon as you put it in drive or reverse or just turn on the A/C it will idle very rough and stall.
I tried to have Ford run the codes and they said they couldn't do it until the harness was replaced. I took it to midas and they said they couldn't because it was a 95 and their scanner only did 96 and up. I still havn't gotten the codes. I was told to take it to Autozone but they too said it had to be a 96 or above.

I hope this gives you a better starting point. I guess I will find another shop until someone can run the damn codes.

On a 95, you can pull the codes with only a paperclip.

Speaking of the harness, what condition is it in? I replaced mine a few months back since the previous owner never had it done. Took me a few hours but I was able to do it myself and it also solved some of my drivability problems that I was having at the time which one of them was that it stalled on me sometimes. If you want to take a stab at the harness the part# for the wiring harness kit is F5RZ14K289S4TA - that part# is for a 95 2.0 automatic. List price on that is 177 but I got mine for 116. I don't know what your mechanical aptitude is but if you get frustrated real easy then let someone else do the job. Good luck.

I really only have issues with the front section infront of the manifold. It goes from the alternator across to the cooling fan etc...
I can handle an install as long as don't have to start pulling stuff off the car to do it. Ford dealership said I would have to remove the radiator and some other things as well. The also said that it would cost $275 for the harness. Ofcourse that is the entire thing. I think it was around $850 installed.
Where did you get yours?

As for the paper clip I don't know how to do that
