i have been using this program to get an idea on building a replacement box for my subs. right now i have 2 jl 12w3 in a sealed box with Vol of 1.25 ft^3 each powered by an mtx 500 watt amp (about 250 watts/sub). i would like to increase the output of the subs in the 100Hz range because the door speakers are a little weak here. my question is would i want a flatter gain plot (ie no peaks). and I cant seem to get any plot for the spl graph please help.

if you want to get the SPL plot to work, the specs need to have the sensitivity listed. You will probably have to add teh driver to your own database and be sure to put the sensitivity in there. You always want to have as flat of a response as possible. If you want more upper bass output, you can make the box so it has a Q of about .9 (make the box smaller). It will retain decent quality and increase the upper bass regions a bit.

thanks Dave, the signal generator also works in car if you get a headphone to RCA adapter. i plugged the input to the amp and was playin test tones and freq sweeps. what is the white noise for? it should say "and this concludes our regularly scheduled programming" before it kicks in. i had the vol cranked
