I finally broke down and sprayed my wheels tonight, I couldnt take the crappy finish they had....So I picked up some black enamel(good kind) and went to work, first I sanded with 320 then primed, sanded, primed, sanded, painted....painted....cleared...Came out fantastic!! I will have some pictures tomorrow for those who care. My CSVT is black anyway so the all black look came out really good. I also figured I might as well paint the calipers too so I hit them with some red caliper paint. The combo looks good. Maybe when the winters over I will buy some good rims anf tires. Only thing left is a question for you guys, should I wax my wheels now that they are painted???

After I got my chrome ring and rear reflector painted, the body shop guy said to wait for a month or so before waxing. I guess (I don't know) the paint has to cure since it wasn't baked on. I've always heard it's not a good idea to wax new paint (or clearcoat).

Listen to the body shop guy's advice. Let it fully cure first. I let my splitter cure for a day or two, then waited about a week or two to wax it. Looks perfect.

I think they turned out pretty well!

Only problem I see is that it looks like you painted the wheel weight. If so, that will mean that the next time you have your tires balanced, that weight will be removed - exposing the color underneath.

Yeah I know....I toyed with the idea of leaving the lip alone but decided against it...If I get new tires before I get new rims...It will have to be a wait and see how bad they destroy the paint....Oh well, only cost me a total of $28 bucks to paint them!!!!
